Hi, I’m Jessie.

I’m a 6th generation Texan, compulsive doodler and bookworm.

I left the corporate advertising world in 2021 to run Papergarten and XOXOart & Co. full-time.

I’m proud to spend my days creating beautiful things with purpose and intent. I work out of a sunshine-filled studio in my home in East Dallas with my sidekick, Lou.

Hi, I’m Lou.

I’m the official Papergarten mascot. You will see me featured on social media quite often. Currently, my biggest focus for the company is educating everyone around me about the difference between “Stationery” and “Stationary.” You can see more here, here and here.

Get to know the artist:

Why the name Papergarten?

The name emerged from my love of watercolor notebooks combined with a subtle nod to my German-Czech heritage. My maiden name is “Neuendorff” and it’s not pronounced like you think it should be.

Who’s your biggest inspiration?

My mom is an artist and illustrator. I’ve had her to look up to and share art supplies with my entire life. I’ve been creating since I could hold a paintbrush because of her influence.

Something you probably didn’t know:

I run another business with my mom called XOXOart & Company. We specialize in custom wholesale apparel and we’re in almost 700 stores across the US, Canada and Australia.
