Frequently Asked Questions

For more specific information on wedding timelines and general tips, see our paper goods guide here. If you have additional questions regarding our process or practices, shoot us an email and we’ll get right back to you.

Can you help me on timelines? When should I mail out my save the dates and invitations? I have no idea where to begin.

Yes! The wedding suite process can be overwhelming. We have an entire resource guide detailing timelines for everything from save the dates to bridal shower invites to the day-of details.

What can I expect to pay?

The average Papergarten bride invests between $2,500 and $7,000 for their paper goods.

Will we get a physical invitation for ourselves?

Yes! You will also receive a separate suite prepared for your photographer to shoot on your wedding day. Connect us with your photographer and we can help with styling, too!

I need to change the number of invitations I ordered. Can you help?

If you need to order more invitations, please let us know right away. These orders could incur additional setup costs and shipping if the invitations from the initial order have already been printed and/or shipped. Client agrees that the quantity provided at the order is priced accordingly and any additions to the quantity prior to printing will incur additional costs including but not limited to costs per unit, shipping, and printing setup costs. After the project has been sent to print, the client agrees to pay additional shipping, printing and setup costs required for additional units. Unfortunately, we cannot reduce the quantity of the invitations once ordered.

How does envelope addressing work?

We offer two types of addressing: digitally-printed or brush calligraphy. Read more about it here. If we’re handling your addressing, please note that we require a google doc with your completed and final addresses. Reach out to Jessie and she’ll get with you on formatting preferences.

Do you collaborate with other industry vendors on styled shoots?

Yes, we love working with other industry professionals! Fill out our form here if you have an idea in mind.

Do you work with clients outside of Texas?

Absolutely! Around half of our clients are located outside of driving distance. We've worked with people from Idaho to Austin to Mexico to DC, and everywhere in between.

Who owns the designs once produced?

Jessie Gibbons of Papergarten retain rights to the designs that they create. If you would like to get exclusive rights to the designs, please inform us and we will provide you with an appropriate quote. We also retain the rights to post your invitations and wedding paper on social media. If there is an issue with posting your invitations and wedding paper on social media, please let us know beforehand.

Can you replicate a design I’ve seen elsewhere?

No, we will not copy other designers' work under any circumstances. Due to copyright infringement, intellectual property rights and being a decent human being, we are unable to copy an existing design created by another studio. We can, of course, utilize images as inspiration for a custom design but if it's a direct recreation you want, then we recommend you contact the original designer.

What’s your return policy and what are your payment terms?

Due to the custom nature of our products, all purchases are non-refundable.

Your booking fee is also non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your order during the design process and/or before artwork has gone to print, you will not be required to pay your remaining balance due on your stationery. However, once you have approved the artwork and it is sent to print, the sale becomes final.

We cannot accept returns due to any errors. This is why the proofing stage is critical: it is your responsibility to ensure the wording, spellings, dates and times are correct on your final proof. If errors are discovered once your stationery is sent to print, we are required to charge for a reprint at the minimum quantity. If the error was made by Papergarten, we will reprint free of charge.  Read more on our terms & conditions here.

What do you mean when you say A2, A6 and A7?

This is a quick way to understand envelope sizes. The size of the card that fits inside an envelope is slightly smaller than the envelope itself. For example, an A7 invite is 5x7 inches, while an A7 envelope is 5 1/4 x 7 1/4. I primarily work with A7 invitations, A2 response cards, A6 for detail cards and/or save the dates. With a custom suite, we can decide which size works best for you.
